Earning Extra Credit on Accessibility at The Schoolhouse Hotel

Right at the entrance off of Schoolhouse Way arrayed with synthetic grass for guide animals and a covered porte-cochere with direct access to sliding doors and a low-pile, walk-off mat in the vestibule. Interior surface colors throughout the hotel are in the “cool range,” while lighting has lenses to limit views of illuminated bulbs.

There are 30 guest rooms including two suites through three floors of the hotel, cleverly themed to school subjects such as art, math, and woodshop. All rooms are accessible via key fob or phone app, with interactive high-definition televisions and Google Nests wired for direct communication with the Front Desk staff, to bathrooms with low-counter sinks, touchpad-control toilets, and roll-in/transfer showers.
